At Montessori Learning Center, our senior preschool class sizes are limited to 25 to 28 students, with three trained Montessori teachers who specialize in:

In language development:

• Students learn 71 phonograms (26 are the alphabet; 55 are phonemes by sound)
• Students learn cursive first which facilitates neurological connections that facilitate reading
• Early reading begins after learning the alphabet by sound
• We introduce 25 rules of the English language to establish patterns in the brain, easing and aiding future reading comprehension

• Concepts of ones, tens, hundreds, and thousands
• Teens numbers both concretely (hands-on) and abstractly (in the mind through the use of symbols)
• Tens numbers both concretely and abstractly
• Addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication using concrete materials into the thousands
• Your child also will enjoy learning some practical development of life skills
• Flower arranging
• Hand washing
• Dishwashing
• Clothes washing
• All basic skills
